Job description

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Design, Information Security or related fields.
  • Strong object-oriented design skills and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C/C++, PHP, Python, Ruby, Unix, MySQL, Clojure, Scala, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, or Swift.
  • Experience with methodologies such as Data Modeling, Validation, Processing, and MapReduce.
  • Familiarity with distributed technologies like HDFS, Spark, Golang, Hadoop, Mongo, Pig, or Hive.
  • Experience with web frameworks such as AngularJS, NodeJS, or SproutCore.
  • Knowledge of iOS and macOS development using Swift, XCode, or Objective-C.
  • Understanding of client-server protocol and API design.
  • Ability to craft multi-functional requirements and translate them into practical engineering tasks.
  • Fundamental knowledge of embedded processors and real-time operating system concepts.
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in back-end development to build features for Apple products like Siri and Apple Music.
  • Help design and build fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and services.
  • Contribute to creating elegant user experiences that are simple and intuitive.
  • Collaborate with UX teams and other engineers to develop a web portal for software development.
  • Build web-based and iOS tools and applications to enhance Apple products.
  • Produce key business and technical infrastructure applications to improve the Apple Store experience.
  • Help protect Apple's information and monitor the stability and security of internal environments.
