Job description
As the Mail Data Foundations Engineering Manager, you will lead a team that ensures Apple's intelligence features have access to reliable data from various email providers. Your role will involve overseeing data integrity across services like Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, and Contacts, particularly for Microsoft enterprise customers. You will also play a key role in shaping Apple's engineering presence in San Diego and fostering an inclusive team culture. This position requires strong leadership and technical skills to navigate complex integrations and maintain high standards of data reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience with email and communication protocols such as IMAP, SMTP, EWS, CardDAV, and CalDAV.
- Strong grasp of client/server communication patterns.
- Experience working directly with external partners or third-party services.
- A strong testing philosophy and experience in reliability and data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team responsible for Apple's connectivity to the world's email providers.
- Ensure data integrity across all providers to enable intelligence features.
- Serve as a key site leader for Apple's Mail engineering presence in San Diego.
- Hire and mentor a diverse team of engineers.
