Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Water Engineer Intern to join their Water Business Line in Middletown, CT or East Greenwich, RI. This role involves significant fieldwork in New London, CT, focusing on overseeing and inspecting construction projects to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. The intern will work on various aspects of water infrastructure projects, contributing to planning, design, and construction administration. Strong communication skills are essential as the intern will interact with clients and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and inspect construction projects for compliance with standards.
  • Conduct site visits and observe construction activities.
  • Capture historical data from plans and documentation.
  • Apply data analytics to record and analyze information.
  • Prepare and deliver effective presentations to clients.
  • Participate in client meetings and interact with clients and subcontractors.
