The role is for an experienced product architect to join the Middle Office Core Platform Organization at Morgan Stanley. This team is responsible for building financial products and platform capabilities used by millions of customers. The architect will drive modernization initiatives using cloud and open-source technologies, focusing on creating a secure and scalable architecture. The position requires collaboration with other architects and engineering teams to ensure best practices are followed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably with a Master's in Computer Science.
- Hands-on experience building services using cloud native technologies.
- Expert knowledge of cloud native and microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding and experience in one of the public clouds (AWS, Azure).
- Strong skills in relational databases, preferably Sybase, Oracle, MSSql.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with other architects and engineering leadership to understand requirements.
- Provide direction to product development teams regarding planning and high-level solution design.
- Present ideas to all levels of management and guide engineering teams in implementation.
- Perform technical design reviews and peer reviews on source code.
- Build reference architecture and solutions that can evolve with business needs.
- Drive innovation using new technologies to transform the existing core technology base.
