Amazon Web Services is seeking a Senior Product Design Mechanical Engineer to join the Electrical Products and Services Engineering team. This role involves designing and developing electrical distribution products for AWS data centers, ensuring compliance with various standards and regulations. The engineer will work collaboratively with internal and external teams to enhance product reliability and cost-effectiveness. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in leading new product design, development, testing, and manufacturing support of electronic components
• Hands-on experience in new product design and development of electrical power distribution equipment such as Low Voltage Switchgear and Power Distribution Cabinets
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License is preferred
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region

• Work with internal partner teams to solicit customer input and define design requirements for product design
• Lead new product design, development, and qualification of critical electrical power distribution equipment for AWS data centers
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC, and federal, state, and municipal requirements through appropriate levels of testing
• Validate design through prototype, pre-production, and first-of-kind builds, conducting DFx and value engineering analysis
• Collaborate with field engineering and commissioning teams to test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical products
• Provide support for manufacturing activities for new products on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations
• Lead within the product development team and collaborate with internal and external teams that support the data center
