Job description
The Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team focused on developing next-generation EUV light sources for reticle inspection products. This role is situated within KLA's RAPID division, which specializes in providing advanced inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The manager will oversee the mechanical development of precision hardware operating in extreme environments, ensuring high performance and reliability. Collaboration with various technical teams will be essential to drive innovation and improve product manufacturability.
Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred) or equivalent related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience developing complex hardware or capital equipment.
- 5+ years of people management experience leading engineers through concept-to-release development.
- Demonstrated expertise in vacuum/UHV design, precision mechanisms, and thermal-structural design.
- Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing mechanical engineering team.
- Own mechanical system architecture and delivery for EUV source subsystems.
- Drive rigorous design review and release discipline.
- Partner closely with various technical organizations to improve product performance.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for complex subsystem issues.
- Manage supplier technical engagement for precision parts and subassemblies.
- Embed safety-by-design into mechanical solutions.
