Arcadis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer specializing in Water Infrastructure and Reuse to join their National Resilience Water Planning Practice in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on advanced water treatment, water reuse, and capital project delivery while integrating engineering, operations, and construction-phase coordination. The ideal candidate will contribute to innovative approaches and support the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure. This position emphasizes collaboration with clients and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in water treatment, water reuse, or groundwater systems.
- Strong understanding of water quality principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide national perspective on current conditions and emerging client needs.
- Collaborate with leaders to develop strategic plans for the Resilience Water Planning Practice.
- Support planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Prepare technical memoranda, engineering reports, and design documentation.
- Provide construction-phase services including submittal and RFI review.
- Assist with water quality analysis and system performance monitoring.
- Apply hydraulic modeling and data analysis tools to evaluate system performance.
