Job description

The Home Product Design team at Apple is seeking a passionate engineer to contribute to the design and development of innovative products. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams to integrate components and technologies for new home products. The engineer will focus on design ideation, manufacturability, and high-volume production processes. Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a comparable field
  • Two years of experience in Mechanical Product Design or Consumer Electronics development
  • Strong mechanical engineering design and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in any current 3D CAD package
  • Excellent communication skills within and outside technical teams
  • Flexibility in design approach and a strong drive for excellence

Responsibilities

  • Own components, modules, and system architectures for a range of home products
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across various internal teams
  • Strengthen skills in design for assembly and manufacturability
  • Engage in high-volume manufacturing processes such as injection molding and die casting
  • Conduct tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing
