Amazon's Threat Hunting team is seeking a Security Engineer to proactively identify and eliminate undetected threat activities at a petabyte scale. The role involves working with other engineers to analyze security logs and develop innovative techniques to uncover threats. This position is crucial for maintaining customer trust and ensuring a secure e-Commerce platform. The team operates in a dynamic environment, focusing on continuous learning and improvement in security practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant security certifications such as CCSP, CEH, or PenTest+.
- 3+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, or network security.
- 2+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
- Experience with AWS products and services.
Responsibilities
- Query and analyze machine data for evidence of potential threat activities.
- Support incident responders in investigating ongoing security issues.
- Reconstruct security events from log data to identify threat actor tactics.
- Develop custom security solutions to enhance threat hunting operations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support during non-business hours.
