The Principal Audio Engineer will lead the technical infrastructure behind Siri's audio production, ensuring high-quality output across multiple languages and modalities. This role involves overseeing the entire media production pipeline, from performance capture to delivery, while setting technical standards and improving workflows. The engineer will collaborate with creative and technical teams to maintain compliance and quality. This position requires a deep understanding of audio engineering and production processes.

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in audio engineering or technical production.
• Deep expertise with Pro Tools and professional studio environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build or optimize production pipelines for scale and quality.
• Strong analytical skills to translate complex technical requirements into actionable processes.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with creative directors, voice talent, and ML engineers.
• Degree in Audio Production, Media Production, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience delivering ML-compatible audio datasets.
• Hands-on experience with audio over IP systems such as Dante.
• Familiarity with QA tooling, database-driven tracking systems, and lightweight frontend tooling.

• Own the end-to-end technical media production pipeline from performance capture through post-processing.
• Define and enforce audio technical specifications covering acoustic standards and dataset integrity.
• Serve as the technical authority on recording systems and studio hardware.
• Engineer and continuously improve production workflows and build dashboards for efficiency.
• Lead large-scale data collection efforts for multimodal and multilingual AI models.
• Act as a technical translator between creative directors, voice talent, and research teams.
• Author operating procedures, quality standards, and evaluate emerging tools for studio capabilities.
