This role is part of Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. The team is responsible for ensuring that Apple products can efficiently handle complex tasks, ultimately enhancing user experience. The position involves both pre-silicon and post-silicon testing to identify and debug hardware issues. • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related field
• 10 years of experience in software engineering
• Knowledge of SoC and CPU architecture
• Experience with system-level understanding and SoC bringup
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly language programming
• Expertise in embedded programming and hardware-software interfaces
• Familiarity with hardware and software debug tools and methods

• Write directed and random tests for SoC and CPU
• Debug issues in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments
• Develop and maintain the system-level software platform
• Lead software development and execution plans for SoC projects
• Collaborate with designers and architects to meet validation goals
• Engage with other teams at Apple to develop validation strategies based on product needs
