Job description
This role is part of Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. The team is responsible for ensuring that Apple products can efficiently handle complex tasks, ultimately enhancing user experience. The position involves both pre-silicon and post-silicon testing to identify and debug hardware issues. Candidates will work closely with designers and architects to achieve validation goals and contribute to the development of next-generation technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related field
- 10 years of experience in software engineering
- Knowledge of SoC and CPU architecture
- Experience with system-level understanding and SoC bringup
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly language programming
- Expertise in embedded programming and hardware-software interfaces
- Familiarity with hardware and software debug tools and methods
Responsibilities
- Write directed and random tests for SoC and CPU
- Debug issues in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments
- Develop and maintain the system-level software platform
- Lead software development and execution plans for SoC projects
- Collaborate with designers and architects to meet validation goals
- Engage with other teams at Apple to develop validation strategies based on product needs
