The Sr. Fire Protection Engineer at Amazon Web Services will be part of a global engineering team focused on the design and implementation of fire protection systems for data centers. This role requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure safety and compliance with standards. The engineer will drive innovation and standardization across projects while mentoring other engineers. The position emphasizes teamwork and creative problem-solving in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360
- Professional Engineering or Architectural License
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve fire protection design from the ground up, including construction documents and compliance standards.
- Provide high quality fire protection engineering advice on a variety of global projects.
- Review designs to ensure they meet established standards and local code requirements.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase to ensure designs are realized.
- Research and document best practices for data center fire protection system design.
