The Sr. Mechanical Engineer role at AWS involves designing and implementing energy-efficient mechanical systems for data centers. • 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, REVIT, and BIM 360.
• 6+ years of design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings and specifications.
• Understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and CFD Analysis.

• Drive standardization in the data center mechanical designs.
• Review and approve critical equipment submittals including vendor Witness Tests.
• Provide technical support on global Large Scale Events, including participation on investigations and recommendations.
