Job description

The SoC Performance Verification role at Apple is crucial for developing technology that powers Apple's devices. This position involves working closely with the Architecture team to understand performance goals and conducting deep performance analyses. The successful candidate will identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with design teams to enhance performance. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently while supporting multi-functional engineering efforts.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of CPU and SoC architecture and design
  • Familiarity with verification environments and programming languages such as Verilog, C/C++, SystemVerilog, and scripting in Perl/Python

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Architecture to understand performance goals of the design
  • Correlate RTL performance against model performance
  • Perform deep performance analysis in the design and report findings
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and coordinate with Design and Architecture teams to improve performance
  • Define performance statistics to aid in performance debugging and establish methodologies for performance correlation
