Job description
The Sales Engineer (SE) role at Apple is crucial for building relationships with enterprise customers and ensuring their success with Apple technologies. SEs act as trusted advisors, leveraging their technical expertise to solve business challenges and drive the adoption of Apple solutions. They work closely with account teams to identify opportunities and remove technical blockers, all while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accountability. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with executive decision-makers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of quota-carrying experience advising on technical business transformation solutions for large enterprises or consultative pre-sales engineering roles.
- Demonstrate the capability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to tell compelling stories through presentation software and short-form communication tools.
- Demonstrate IS/IT knowledge with experience in AI implementations, enterprise security, networking, and communications technologies for iOS, macOS, and competing platforms.
- Ability to articulate the benefits of modern deployment methods to enterprise customers and describe the nuances of deploying and managing the Apple platform in large organizations.
- Familiarity with features and capabilities of top MDM vendors and the ability to demonstrate recommended deployment workflows using MDM and ABM for device enrollment, configuration, and app distribution.
Responsibilities
- Establish relationships as trusted advisors to top executives and identify opportunities to deliver Apple solutions to enterprise customers.
- Drive technical journeys and demonstrate ownership of tactics necessary to execute the mutually aligned sales strategy.
- Work with the account team to include well-defined and measurable steps in plans to remove blockers and increase technical readiness.
- Comprehend and explain how Apple devices communicate using common network protocols, wireless standards, and modern authentication.
- Articulate Apple’s dedication to security and privacy, and describe how the layered approach to security lowers risk to users.
- Guide customers through the best route to app development for business transformation.
