Job description

The SoC Performance Verification role at Apple involves crafting and building technology that powers Apple's devices. This position is critical within Apple's Hardware Technology team, focusing on performance analysis and improvement. You will work closely with Architecture to understand design performance goals and identify bottlenecks. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead efforts that align with project goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of CPU and SoC architecture and design
  • Familiarity with verification environments and Verilog, C/C++
  • Experience with SystemVerilog, Verilog, and scripting in Perl/Python

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Architecture to understand performance goals of the design
  • Correlate RTL performance against model performance
  • Perform deep performance analysis in the design and report findings
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and coordinate with Design and Architecture teams to improve performance
  • Define performance statistics to help performance debug and standard methodologies to improve performance correlation effort
