Job description
This role is focused on building large scale distributed systems within the AWS Data Integration group, which is known for its innovative cloud services. The team is dedicated to redefining data analytics through a serverless platform, Glue, and is working on a next-generation data replication service. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and code reviews
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Technically lead a team of engineers on complex projects.
- Advocate for industry best practices to produce reliable and dependable code.
- Code and test complex system modules while developing effective frameworks.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews to maintain high development standards.
- Own system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver large scale, distributed services in the cloud.
- Mentor other engineers and help build a fast-growing team.
