Job description

As a Front-End Engineer at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to build user-facing software products that are utilized by customers worldwide. You will work closely with experienced developers and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance user experience and contribute to the full software development lifecycle. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality code, participating in code reviews, and ensuring software maintainability. You will also engage in operational support and problem resolution to improve software quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You should have experience in HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
  • You need experience in at least one object-oriented programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or C#.
  • You should possess knowledge of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
  • You must currently have or be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Web Development, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields.
  • You should have experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • You need knowledge of UX best practices.
  • You should have experience from a technical internship.
  • You must have experience working with customers and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver software components and improvements to software features with your team.
  • Work with stakeholders and product partners to deliver high-quality user experience.
  • Take feature specifications and deliver maintainable and extendable working code.
  • Help provide operational support for your team and ensure root causes are identified and resolved.
  • Participate in code reviews and daily stand-ups.
  • Collaborate with your team to positively impact software quality, customer experience, and maintainability.
