As a Controls Deployment Engineer at AWS, you will be part of a diverse team responsible for innovating and optimizing automation systems within data centers. Your role will involve managing vendor scopes and schedules for building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications while providing technical support for in-service data centers. • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering degree with 5 years of controls-related experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or a High School diploma with 10 years of experience.
• Experience in project management within data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings.

• Manage the scope and schedule of BMS and EPMS vendors during the construction of AWS data centers.
• Develop the scope of work for site improvement projects.
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate complex situations.
• Review controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to design.
• Financially manage BMS and EPMS construction contracts and assist in procurement activities.
• Perform comprehensive reviews of various BMS and EPMS submittals.
• Participate in the AWS global on-call schedule to provide immediate technical support.
• Ensure BMS and EPMS systems are deployed according to the scope of work and specifications.
• Review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
• Attend project-related meetings and coordinate with project leaders.
• Interpret controls drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Understand and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
• Support controls-related commissioning activities in the field.
• Supervise vendor work at construction sites to ensure compliance with design and local codes.
