Job description

The Data Analyst role at Jacobs focuses on supporting data integration, reporting, and system configuration initiatives within operational and asset management systems. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively across technical and business teams to address complex data challenges. This mid-level position requires a detail-oriented and analytical individual with experience in data management and CMMS implementation. The role is hybrid, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data management, analytics, or related technical roles.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or supporting CMMS platforms, preferably Cityworks.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL development and performance tuning.
  • Experience writing and maintaining PL/SQL.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for report and dashboard development.
  • Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting Crystal Reports.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access and VBA automation.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of CMMS platforms, including Cityworks.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and views.
  • Write and optimize PL/SQL for data processing and system integration tasks.
  • Develop and maintain ELT processes to move and transform data between operational systems and reporting environments.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality control to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Build dashboards and reports in Power BI to support operational, financial, and performance metrics.
  • Create, update, and troubleshoot Crystal Reports to support business and operational reporting needs.
  • Develop and maintain MS Access databases and VBA scripts to automate processes and reporting tasks.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams on system integrations, automation, and deployment activities.
  • Document data flows, business rules, and system configurations to support long-term maintainability.
  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose practical, scalable improvements.
