·FY 2025Job description
This role is focused on researching innovative techniques in generative models and artificial data creation within a dedicated research team at NVIDIA. The team aims to address challenges in modern model development, particularly in creating high-fidelity synthetic data for training large language models (LLMs). The position involves collaboration with other researchers and engineers to integrate novel methods into production pipelines. This opportunity allows for significant contributions to foundational research that will shape the future of AI model training.
Requirements
- Pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, Computational Neuroscience, or a related field with a specialization in deep learning, NLP, or LLM training.
- Research experience in at least one area such as generative modeling, synthetic data generation, or large-scale data curation.
- Excellent Python programming skills.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and modern LLM training stacks.
- Strong research background with publications at top-tier AI, ML, or NLP conferences.
Responsibilities
- Research innovative techniques in generative models and artificial data creation.
- Craft and apply new methods for high-fidelity synthetic data.
- Conduct experiments to validate that synthetic data improves downstream model performance.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate methods into production training and evaluation pipelines.
- Prepare research findings for internal presentations and potential publication at top-tier AI conferences.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
