Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated technical engineer to join the Tegra system-on-chip software organization. This role focuses on developing software for next-generation SoCs, enhancing performance and efficiency for datacenter products. The engineer will work on both pre-silicon and post-silicon phases, addressing architectural performance bottlenecks and driving performance optimizations. The position offers an opportunity to influence full-stack adoption of best practices across NVIDIA's software products.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant computer architecture or software development experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong ownership on past projects.
  • Hands-on technical experience in complex software and hardware designs.
  • Strong understanding of multicore hardware, operating systems design, and real-time programming.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and optimize software for next-generation SoCs.
  • Review architectural performance bottlenecks for various system-wide workloads.
  • Build and drive architecture and analysis documents for internal and external audiences.
  • Conduct competitive analysis comparing workload performance metrics on NVIDIA's ARM SoCs.
  • Influence and drive full-stack adoption of performance optimizations across NVIDIA software products.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
