Job description
This role involves contributing to the technical direction of robotics and test infrastructure at Apple. The team focuses on automation and the development of tools and infrastructure for Sensing Power and Haptics technologies. You will work closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure high-quality automation solutions. The position requires strong ownership of quality and reliability across various engineering processes.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong Python skills with an ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code.
- Proficiency in C/C++ or another systems language, and comfort working across the stack.
- Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) and data pipeline design.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and operating large-scale test automation systems, including robotic systems.
- Hands-on experience with wireless test equipment and a solid grasp of the underlying theory.
- Experience with distributed data storage and cloud infrastructure at meaningful scale.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and web-based tooling.
- Domain knowledge in Inductive or Wireless Power Transfer standards.
