Job description
This role at Apple is for an accomplished quality engineer who will lead the development and ramp-up of a next-generation Apple product. The quality engineering team plays a crucial role in enabling the mass creation of innovative products. The position involves collaborating with multi-functional teams to ensure high-quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer will also be responsible for establishing quality assurance techniques and driving corrective actions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and quality control
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing
- Experience developing process quality plans and conducting supplier quality audits
- Working knowledge of mechanical quality and reliability concepts
- Project management experience and understanding of problem-solving tools
Responsibilities
- Partner with multi-functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase
- Develop measurement technologies and manufacturing methods that meet ambitious specifications
- Compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits for process and part specifications
- Coordinate all Quality Engineering functions for a program and lead efforts at supplier locations
- Establish audit procedures to ensure consistency with Apple quality standards
- Drive corrective actions with internal and external team members
