Job description
The Inline Wafer Level Assembly Defect Metrology Engineer at Intel plays a crucial role in enhancing technology yield by identifying root cause yield limiters and developing process improvements. This position is part of the Advanced Packaging team, which is integral to Intel's mission of driving innovation in semiconductor manufacturing. The engineer will work with large datasets to analyze defects and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring high-quality product outputs. Collaboration across various teams is essential to resolve yield issues and optimize processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 1+ years of experience, or a PhD with 6+ years of experience in a STEM-related discipline.
- Experience in applying statistics and analysis to drive yield and/or process improvement.
- Experience with Python.
Responsibilities
- Provide process development direction throughout the lifecycle of a technology node by identifying root cause yield limiters.
- Perform statistical analysis and develop visualizations to construct accurate process development roadmaps.
- Develop methods and systems to analyze diverse big data sources for defect mode understanding.
- Organize and interpret insights from fab process, defect, and electrical data to enhance yield.
- Extract insights from structured and unstructured data using statistics, machine learning, and coding techniques.
- Develop systems to transform experimental and manufacturing data into yield improvement actions.
- Ensure manufacturability over process and product design through thorough analysis.
- Execute new product introductions and participate in design of experiments.
- Create cross-functional collaborations to debug yield limiters.
- Develop tools and methodologies for high-volume data analysis to identify yield limiters.
- Perform fault isolation and failure analysis to determine root causes of failures.
- Develop measurement recipes for quick feedback on product integrity.
