The Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) plays a crucial role in AWS Data Center Engineering, focusing on ensuring the quality of engineering design and construction projects for large-scale data centers. • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission-critical facilities.
• Experience working with project management and collaboration platforms such as Smartsheet, Procore, ACC, or Salesforce.
• Knowledge of design lifecycle milestones, construction administration workflows, and engineering documentation standards.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
• Experience developing workflow automations, dashboards, or reporting solutions.

• Lead quality assurance reviews for multidisciplinary engineering design deliverables across all major project phases.
• Review engineering drawings, narratives, specifications, and supporting construction documentation for quality and compliance.
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional engineering review workflows to support successful project execution.
• Support end-to-end project lifecycle coordination activities including project provisioning and document control.
• Manage and monitor design review SLAs, milestone approvals, and quality metrics while identifying risks.
• Support Construction Administration activities including participation in OAC meetings and issue escalation management.
• Serve as a primary operational owner and subject matter expert for Design Engineering workflows and processes.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives by developing scalable workflows and automation opportunities.
• Mentor and support onboarding of junior QAEs while promoting engineering quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership through clear operational narratives and strategic recommendations.
