Job description
As an Associate Manager of Production Control Change at Gigafactory Texas, you will oversee material handling functions for new product introductions. You will lead a team focused on achieving operational objectives through KPIs, while collaborating with various departments to drive continuous improvement and solve problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment, preferably automotive-related
- Ability to foster and develop a strong team of material handling personnel & leaders
- Flexibility to change assigned work shift as production needs evolve
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment by establishing and enforcing operational standards and procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot and improve/drive resolution of operational issues
- Ability to meet operational and financial targets
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations through Key Performance Indicators (KPI), problem solving, and driving continuous improvement
- Build a strong, motivated production team capable of delivering high quality products against aggressive production targets
- Create and maintain a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and cost
- Develop process and ensure accurate raw and finished material inventory cycle counts
- Implement 5s practices for warehouse and loading areas
- Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas
- Conduct daily process audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures
