Job description
Join Tesla as a Payroll Compliance Analyst, where you'll ensure compliance and accuracy in wage tracking for construction projects. This role involves managing timekeeping for the TSP Electrical and I&C team, focusing on Electrical Licensed Journeymen and Apprentices, while collaborating with various teams to maintain regulatory accuracy across multiple projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Texas minimum wage laws and federal standards preferred
- 2+ years payroll processing experience in the construction industry
- Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems
- 3–5+ years of experience in Texas labor compliance and certified payroll preferred
- Working knowledge of Texas/federal prevailing wage law and apprenticeship compliance basics
- Compliance documentation and recordkeeping
Responsibilities
- Timecard data entry for salaried and hourly employees and assisting with any payroll issues with the staffing agency
- Track and monitor prevailing wage rates for multiple projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain system data including new hire, timekeeping, direct deposit, benefits, terminations, garnishments, etc.
- Work closely with timekeepers to review and verify time entries and timecards
- Develop and enhance Excel-based tools, automations, and dashboards to improve wage tracking efficiency
- Perform regular data audits to minimize errors and ensure all information is reported correctly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliant processes in a multi-project setting
