Tesla's Energy Remanufacturing team seeks a motivated Equipment and Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for energy products. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance product development and manufacturing efficiency.

• 6+ years relevant experience in interdisciplinary/integrated engineering, process development, manufacturing engineering
• Experience with dispensing applications, welding, and electromechanical assembly is preferred
• Deep understanding of engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them towards manufacturing process development
• Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting and configuration, preferably in Siemens programming language
• 3+ years in a highly automated, high volume manufacturing facility
• Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning systems quickly
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Demonstrated capabilities in manufacturing process development for new products

• Define process and equipment development roadmap for assembly processes
• Develop innovative process, product and equipment design solutions
• Plan and execute DoEs to optimize process for manufacturability and quality
• Manage PFMEA, DFMEA risk assessments for process improvement projects
• Use tools like Minitab/JMP for data analysis and presentation of experimental data
• Establish process controls for SPC and develop process related OCAPs
• Lead product design for manufacturability (DFM), DFMEA and sustainability
• Build process documentation to define the process for cross-functional teams
