Job description

The Mechanical Supplier Industrialization Engineer will focus on the development and qualification of Plastic Injection Molding components within the Supply Chain Team. This role requires effective communication with internal and external teams, travel to supplier sites, and the ability to make critical decisions on-site.

Requirements

  • Degree or relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Proficient on Plastic Injection Moulding process variables, tooling, and resins
  • Knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulding tool construction concepts
  • Experience with Plastic Injection Moulding problem solving tools and techniques
  • Familiar with tooling Moldflow design, parametrization, process and quality controls
  • Strong communication skill - good level spoken and written English
  • Domestic and international travel (expected 50% of the time)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to Supplier’s quotation review by acting as the Plastic Injection Moulding expert
  • Lead Supplier’s qualification assessment to ensure process performance and parts quality
  • Coordinate design improvements in scalability, cost, and quality through DFMs review
  • Plan, organize, and conduct industrialization-related activities for Supplier’s process development
  • Coordinate, track, and improve Supplier’s overall performance for mass production ramp-up
  • Guide Suppliers on continuous improvement methodology
  • Drive negotiation for piece price and product development
  • Owner of RFQ's and contract management
