Job description

The Industrial Engineer role focuses on using data-driven process improvement to enhance business system performance, reduce costs, and optimize throughput. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while implementing effective change management strategies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Operations Research, Industrial, Manufacturing, or equivalent engineering field, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of 2D/3D layout in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Bluebeam
  • Advanced-level MS Office skills (primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
  • Analytics (SQL, Python)
  • Discrete event simulation in FlexSim
  • Scale manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, perform, and implement mathematical concepts of Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or relevant equivalencies

Responsibilities

  • Identify and leverage existing data; develop standards and definitions for data where needed
  • Provide layout design analysis and modeling for new brownfield sites, built-to-suit suites, and current site operations. Create and maintain Value Stream Maps and cycle line layouts
  • Modify, create, and implement standards utilizing change management methods
  • Manage and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to all relevant levels and functions throughout the Collision organization. Work cross functionally to develop and implement best practices
  • Identify, quantify, compare, and execute process improvements to drive safety, ergonomics, repair quality, performance, capital utilization, demand attainment, warehousing, and logistics strategies
  • Use predetermined time standard methods to analyze and optimize current and future planned processes
  • Create and implement tools to audit efficiency and identify opportunities. Define and manage operational metrics for current and future systems
