Job description
The PEAK Program at Tesla offers early career engineers a chance to enhance their skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Participants will engage in various engineering roles, focusing on process, quality, equipment, controls, or test engineering to optimize Tesla's production line.
Requirements
- Include resume with graduation year for fulltime availability (Must be available to start work onsite at Tesla Fremont, California, in May to September 2026)
- Three examples of exceptional engineering ability from university projects, internships, work experience, hobbyist experience, or equivalent
- Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Previous internship in a manufacturing and/or industrial automation environment, 6+ months experience preferred
- Ability to work onsite at Fremont, California facility in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Analyze and refine production processes to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in cost effective means while driving to achieve quality levels aligned with Six Sigma (6σ) principles
- Support development of manufacturing processes, equipment, controls and test plans to address risks identified through FMEA
- Manage and facilitate identifying the root cause & corrective actions of issues through brainstorming, use of lean methodologies, hypothesis testings, design of experiments, etc.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Tesla’s world-class manufacturing equipment through a variety of hands-on learning surrounding automation, including but not limited to Robotics, and PLC programming labs
- Using advanced project management and statistical techniques taught in this program, you will bring significant impact to your engineering team and present your results to factory leadership
