As a Tesla Energy Sr. Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing Tesla's storage technology and project development across the Americas. This position requires deep knowledge of Tesla Energy's products and expertise in stationary battery storage systems, while collaborating with various stakeholders to drive successful project implementations.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering in areas of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Engineering Management with Energy specialization, Management Science and Engineering with Energy specialization, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of work experience in the energy industry
- Knowledge of battery systems, power conversion, and grid systems
- Familiarity with financial analyses, electricity markets, and energy policy
- Experience in customer interfacing, technical negotiations, and technical contracting
- Ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel
- Capability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in English; additional languages like Spanish or Portuguese are a plus
Responsibilities
- Have a deep understanding of Tesla Energy’s product offerings, their technical details, and their interdependencies
- Have a strong command of technical disciplines associated with stationary battery energy storage systems
- Perform full market entry scope independently with minimal supervision
- Perform full top-of-funnel engineering scope independently
- Perform full middle-of-funnel engineering scope independently
- Perform full bottom-of-funnel engineering scope with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with customers and their stakeholders
- Work with Tesla teams across various functions
- Mentor junior members of the Sales Engineering team
