Tesla is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering BIW manager for its new Semi site. This role involves overseeing BIW, coating, and stamping shops to build a world-class quality team, ensuring the delivery of safe and reliable Semi vehicles while driving continuous improvement across various engineering and production teams.

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience of Quality leadership in manufacturing and/or designing new products for high volume operations
• 10+ years Automotive manufacturing experience
• Proven track record to build and lead a strong team in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis, APQP and SixSigma tools and methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize in highly dynamic production environment
• Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
• Ability to resolve quality issues with urgency on a 24x7 production environment
• Dependable leader and professional problem solver that seek solutions rather than only pointing problems
• Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills
• Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills

• Lead quality engineers to support production lines for site and build a network across factories to leverage good practices and continuous improvement
• Lead quality improvement initiatives across suppliers, design, manufacturing, service and field quality
• Own Product Quality during its entire lifecycle, by implementing and sustaining Advanced Product Quality Planning practices
• Drive professional problem solving to root cause and correct failures in production and the field
• Master and nurture a data driven team with advanced statistical, analysis and visualization skills
• Support a 24x7 global business with the needed sense of urgency to protect Tesla customers and business
• Develop and motivate a high performing team of exceptional engineers, supervisors and technicians
• Lead a quality assurance team of technicians, supervisors and engineers to support production needs
