Tesla is looking for a team-oriented individual with manufacturing experience to lead a team of Equipment Engineering Technicians at Gigafactory New York. The role involves improving plant operations, developing engineering skills in technicians, and ensuring equipment performance and availability.

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of extensive experience with improving, troubleshooting and correcting industrial equipment
• Experience with production line design and development desired
• Well-rounded background that includes experience with mechanical, electrical, controls, and test engineering and equipment design/operation
• Availability for off-hours and weekend calls

• Management of a team of Equipment Engineering Technicians spread across 4 different shifts
• Coverage of production line equipment, including escalation response on broken equipment
• Systematically ensure that equipment learnings from breakdowns are documented and transferred to other departments
• Leadership and organization of strategic team initiatives to maximize plant OEE
• Participation in and leadership of daily production meetings and updates
