Job description

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in quality engineering, including experience in establishing or auditing systems in global manufacturing or remanufacturing settings
  • Proven ability to manage teams and perform effective audits
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and methodologies (e.g., PFMEA, root cause analysis, CAPA)
  • Deep understanding of data analytics in manufacturing
  • Servant leadership style—empowering others through guidance and clear communication
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-site expert in quality problem-solving
  • Define metrics, governance processes, and remove barriers to promote continuous improvement
  • Become the go-to person for tools like Kaizen, lean manufacturing, and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes
  • Create CAPA processes, monitoring metrics, and feedback mechanisms to identify and prevent issues proactively
  • Work with teams to prepare for external audits (e.g., ISO 9001 compliance) and customer visits
  • Introduce new quality tools and technologies to advance product quality and internal management systems at GFNY
