Job description
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Traffic Project Manager to join their transportation team in Atlanta, GA. This role involves managing traffic engineering projects with a focus on improving safety and operations. The successful candidate will work closely with senior program managers, project managers, and engineers to deliver impactful solutions across the Southeast. The position is part of the Global Mobility Business Area, which aims to design connected and sustainable cities and communities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Ability to obtain Georgia PE within one year of hire
- Understanding of traffic analysis tools including VISSIM, Sidra, Synchro/SimTraffic, and HCS
- Experience in operational and/or safety analysis
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, overseeing traffic engineering projects.
- Develop and manage project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Provide regular written and verbal updates on project status to clients and internal senior management.
- Present technical results and recommendations to clients.
- Coordinate with various subject matter experts to ensure successful project delivery.
- Work with client managers to develop strategies for pursuing new projects.
- Conduct and document traffic studies following nationally accepted modeling practices.
- Assist engineers in developing technical approaches for traffic engineering projects.
- Lead the project team in preparing traffic engineering plans.
- Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and interns.
