Job description
The Senior Firmware Engineer will join the NVIDIA Firmware team, which focuses on developing innovative networking features for AI, cloud, HPC, and storage. This role involves working in a complex and fast-paced environment alongside talented engineers. The engineer will gain insights into the operation, maintenance, and release of large software projects, as well as the development of hardware and firmware. Collaboration with various teams is essential to debug firmware and validation issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Firmware.
- Strong C/C++ and OOP capabilities.
- Excellent data analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of digital design, computer architecture, Linux, drivers, and CPU/GPU/SOC architecture.
- Familiarity with Linux scripting languages and hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated and independent with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with architecture and different software and hardware design teams.
- Implement new features for NVIDIA NIC and Switch firmware.
- Develop verification tests for advanced features in a complex Firmware testing environment.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to debug any firmware and validation issues.
- Engage in early modeling and simulation to produce outstanding products, including schematic and layout reviews on next generation board designs.
