·FY 2025Job description
In this role, you will lead the development of next-generation self-driving technologies within the DRIVE Road Structure, Online Mapping, and Context Fusion team. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering leaders to create advanced 3D world models that integrate map and perception data for safe navigation. This position offers the opportunity to take technical ownership of critical systems and influence the future of autonomous driving. You will also mentor engineers and align technical strategies across various teams.
Requirements
- PhD with 6+ years or MS with 10+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of leading complex software systems in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or related domains.
- Strong expertise in system design, real-time processing, and scalable software architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical direction and deliver results in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Experience with embedded or automotive-grade systems is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and evolution of systems that integrate perception and mapping technologies.
- Drive the creation of scalable, real-time 3D representations by fusing multi-modal sensor data.
- Spearhead the development of enriched bird’s-eye-view model outputs to reduce reliance on HD maps.
- Define and implement approaches for static obstacle modeling and occupancy grids to improve decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with perception, planning, and platform teams while mentoring engineers.
- Champion high-quality, production-grade code and enforce best practices aligned with automotive safety.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
