Job description

The Engineering New Product Technology Project Manager will support the Wireless Systems & Compliance Engineering team at Apple, focusing on RF compliance and performance testing for various products. This role involves collaboration with RF test engineers and regulatory teams to ensure readiness for certification and performance milestones. The ideal candidate will manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, driving NPI build planning and logistics activities. The position requires strategic problem-solving and effective coordination across diverse teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in supply chain or NPI program management, including build management and supplier management.
  • Engineering background or technical fluency for collaboration with various engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting RF, wireless, or hardware test labs, including test equipment procurement.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment and wireless technologies such as cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or GPS.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience in engineering test or NPI activities.
  • Configuration management and Bill of Material (BOM) experience.
  • Experience working with overseas vendors and globally distributed teams.
  • Proficient in Excel or Numbers and quick to learn new software applications.
  • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic critical thinking and problem-solving skills, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Drive NPI build planning, material readiness, and logistics for RF compliance testing.
  • Coordinate the allocation of products and development hardware to RF test teams.
  • Manage the wireless compliance approvals process for Apple accessories.
  • Track the construction, installation, and commissioning of RF test chambers and stations.
  • Oversee build matrices, materials forecasting, and CTB analysis and reporting.
  • Manage budget, procurement, and configuration management activities related to RF test programs.
