The Packaging PD team at Apple is responsible for designing and executing structural packaging for all Apple products, ensuring an outstanding customer experience while advancing sustainability goals. The team collaborates with various departments, including Industrial Design and Marketing, to create innovative packaging solutions. Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or similar degree.
- MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or similar degree.
- 3+ years of experience working with new product development in a fast-paced, high-volume engineering environment.
- Strong engineering fundamentals with a basic understanding of design and metrology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20% to support engineering build activities and design development.
- Data-driven with the ability to solve complex and novel technical problems.
- Introductory knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and evaluation testing standards such as ASTM, TAPPI, and ISTA.
