As a Data Center Civil Engineer at AWS, you will lead the design of Amazon Data Centers, working within a creative team of architects and engineers. • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
• Professional Engineering license or plan for acquiring within 12 months of start date.
• 3+ years of commercial, warehouse, and/or industrial site-civil design experience.
• Experience with low impact development strategies and sustainable design techniques.
• Experience with mission critical facilities.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu.

• Manage external civil design consultants through the Data Center design and construction process.
• Review designs for site layout, grading, power substations, storm water, and utilities.
• Coordinate with internal and external architectural, structural, and MEP design engineers.
• Develop preliminary site layout concepts using Civil 3D.
• Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
• Communicate conceptual designs and maintain project documentation.
• Develop and maintain design standards, prototypes, and template specifications.
• Create, review, and release design RFPs for various projects.
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• Lead initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, consistency, and sustainability.
• Travel for site assessments, internal design meetings, and construction reviews.
