Job description
The New Product Operations Manager at Apple plays a crucial role in the development and launch of new products. This position requires strong leadership and program management skills to coordinate efforts across various teams, including Engineering and Global Supply Chain. The manager will ensure that product launches meet goals related to cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience. Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience in New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Operations, Development or Operations Engineering, and Project Management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field such as Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, Chemical, or similar.
- Ability to succeed in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent program management and communication skills.
- Exceptional ability to establish relationships and a data-driven approach.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute all development builds and rapid ramps of new products.
- Coordinate various Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing Process & Quality engineering and CM's for NPI builds and ramp readiness activities.
- Drive a systematic phase gate approach to NPI development and program management.
- Drive detailed schedules for key NPI equipment buy-off and validation.
- Constantly assess risk and prioritize program critical activities to ensure success.
