Job description
Apple is seeking a Module Process Engineer to join the Panel Process and Optics Engineering team, which focuses on developing innovative manufacturing process technologies for Apple Displays and Touch technology. The role involves leading the process development of advanced key process modules from concept to product engineering validation. Candidates must be highly motivated and flexible thinkers, capable of solving complex design challenges. This position requires collaboration with external vendors and may involve international travel.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in leading a project from early development to high volume production.
- Experience in the development of module processes and their integration in back-end processes of the Flat Panel Display and Touch industry.
- Experience in DOE, data analysis, or SPC control.
- Experience in failure mode analysis, root cause investigation, and problem solving for product yield and quality issues.
- Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Physics, Material Science, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Project management skills including data handling, documentation, and organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop new innovative manufacturing process technologies to solve complex design challenges.
- Serve as a focal point in the process development of advanced key process modules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
- Conduct failure mode analysis and root cause investigations to improve product yield and quality.
- Manage project documentation and critical milestone creation.
- Support project implementation and collaborate with external vendors for product manufacturing.
