The Senior Software Development Engineer will lead the development of networking systems for the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Instance Networking team. This role focuses on enhancing network performance, security, and reliability across a vast cloud platform. The engineer will guide complex engineering initiatives and architect high-performance packet processing systems. Collaboration with hardware teams and mentoring junior engineers will be key aspects of this position.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of ARM CPUs
