The role is focused on the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, specifically in data center electrical designs. You will work with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure safety, security, and sustainability in operations. The position emphasizes collaboration across AWS to meet quality and budgetary requirements while driving innovation. You will contribute to projects that impact millions of customers worldwide.

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360)
• Detailed understanding of uninterruptable power sources, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, and automatic/static transfer switches
• Knowledge of electrical power monitoring systems

• Produce clear and concise documentation such as detailed design specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Understand and safeguard implementation of the Global Electrical Basis of Design by driving standardization in data center electrical designs.
• Develop strategic solutions that meet or exceed quality requirements and fall within budgetary constraints.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests during innovation and research projects.
• Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment.
• Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions.
