Requirements
- 3+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in supplier management or manufacturing engineering for aerospace, automotive, robotics, or high-precision hardware
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience leading engineering design projects and interacting with cross-functional teams
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% within 24hrs notice
Responsibilities
- Own supplier performance across quality, cost, and schedule
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation to enable consistent and repeatable production
- Assess and qualify supplier manufacturing capability to meet design intent and production rate requirements
- Build and own should-cost models for key components and assemblies
- Lead technical program management for supplier-driven workstreams
- Review and approve manufacturing process changes to ensure design compliance
- Plan and execute supplier ramp-ups and new product introductions
- Establish performance tracking mechanisms for yield, throughput, and process capability
- Drive root-cause and corrective action activities to resolve quality and delivery issues
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design engineering, sourcing, quality, and operations
