The engineer will analyze and mitigate EMI issues, ensuring robust subsystem coexistence. The position requires both technical expertise and strong collaboration skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience
- Strong experience in 3D EM simulations for debugging and mitigating complex EM coexistence issues
- Hands-on experience in EM and circuit simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS/Maxwell/SIWave, CST, ADS/Spice/Spectre, Cadence/Sigrity
- Strong academic background in EM theory and coupling mechanisms
- Strong EE fundamentals
- PhD preferred
- Hands-on experience in hardware board-level testing and validation
- Knowledge of Power and Signal integrity
- Knowledge of switching DC-DC converters
- Ability to relate electrical performance to physical layout
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
- Excellent collaborative and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate EMI between subsystems to ensure co-existence.
- Characterize and debug system-level EMI coexistence and RFI desense issues.
- Leverage 3D EM and circuit simulations for EMI analysis.
- Conduct hands-on hardware validation using tools such as near-field scanners and spectrum analyzers.
- Model various subsystems to assess their EMI impact.
- Develop design guidelines that inform board layout and system architecture.
- Define EM performance requirements across multi-functional teams.
- Continuously improve design methodologies for robust subsystem coexistence.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
