The Amazon Defensive Security’s Threat Detection team is responsible for safeguarding Amazon's infrastructure and customer data from threat actors. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team of software and security engineers to build innovative threat detection products. The successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle while driving engineering best practices. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Manage critical components of the threat detection platform that processes millions of messages daily
- Evaluate different design choices and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements
- Contribute to defining the product roadmap and make technical trade-offs using sound judgement
- Work closely with product leadership and security partners to design and deliver innovative solutions
- Drive engineering best practices around operational excellence and security
