Apple's Camera ISP team is seeking an embedded software engineer to develop low-level systems that enhance camera experiences across Apple products. This role emphasizes collaboration within a close-knit team, focusing on innovation and technical excellence. The engineer will work on camera software development across firmware, kernel, and user space. The position requires adaptability and a passion for software craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded or systems software development.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
- Experience in developing real-time software in embedded environments.
- Familiarity with image signal processing (ISP) pipelines or camera systems.
- Experience with macOS or iOS driver and kernel-level development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop camera software across firmware, kernel, and user space.
- Design, implement, maintain, and test new camera and ISP features.
- Collaborate closely with Silicon Design, Camera Hardware, Media Frameworks, and QA teams.
- Translate complex requirements into robust, high-quality implementations.
- Contribute to cross-functional collaboration and influence product decisions.
